Don't Blink

In fear you're frozen still
A war rageing inside you
Just so you don't blink
If you blink
You will draw closer
Closer to your death
And you don't want to die

You wish you could move

Forever observing
The angels' eyes glare at you
Taunting you
Dareing you
To blink or look away
The angel's demonic face now burnt in your mind

You just had to didn't you
You  had to lower your defences
You had to blink
It creeps closer
A smile etched on it's stone face
Intimidating you
Bareing it's sharp teeth
You shiver
It knows you have blink again soon
That you can't stay like that forever
This battle, it seems, is one sided
The angel's weapon is powerful one
But also it's main weakness
You can't kill stone
But you wish you could

You blink involuntary

It's game over now
The icey touch of an angel grips you
You've lost now,
Your gone now
Sent back in time
